GhorepaniGhandruk Trek starts from Nayapul passing through several Gurung villages heading towards Tikedhunga. The trail from Nayapul to Tikedhunga is almost straight-up and quite easy, and from Tikedhunga the trail is quiet demanding takes you through a steep hill up to Ghorepani 2,810m our path is mostly covered with alpine meadow and thick Rhododendron forest, the beautiful chirping sound of birds in the forest and the spectacular view of peaks like Hiunchuli and Machhapuchare eases the journey a bit from Ghorepani we steeply ascend through the thick oak and Rhododendron forest. landmark of Poon Hill we descend through a dense forest of deciduous oak, bamboo and rhododendron heading to Tadapani 2,650m. Now we come across several small streams and waterfalls in our way descending to a large Gurung settlement, Ghandruk village- the people here are very skilled craftsmen and their arts can be seen decorated in Gurung museum of the village where you can learn the culture and lifestyle. Leaving the village we further descend to Nayapul and then we finally trek back to the city of Pokhara and end of our journey.
